Eric Lynn Wright, to the audience known by his stage name Eazy-E, was an American rapper, record producer and songwriter. How rich is Eazy-E? According to sources, Eazy-E’s net worth is estimated to be $8 million. Often referred to as “The Godfather of Gangsta Rap”, Eazy-E’s net worth heavily relies on his recorded songs and albums. Born in 1963, in Compton, New York, Eazy-E primarily supported himself by selling drugs, particularly marijuana. It is estimated that Eazy-E managed to collect $250 thousand from the drug sales alone. Eazy-E soon gave up his illegal business and founded a record label called “Ruthless Records”.
Eazy-E Net Worth $8 Million
Some of the first artists signed to the label were Dr. Dre and Ice Cube who together with Eazy-E co-created a rap group known as N.W.A. The group’s fame increased the public interest in the “Ruthless Records” and peaked in 1988 when Eazy-E released his debut album titled “Eazy-Duz-It”. The album managed to reach $2 million in sales and was even featured on the Billboard 200. The group then went on to create songs together and that same year released one of their most controversial albums “Straight Outta Compton”. Violent lyrics and profanities used in this album gave rise to a new genre of rap music, which is now called “gansta rap”. Despite ruthless lyrics, the album was popular among the audience, peaking at #37 on US Billboard Top LPs chart. “Straight Outta Compton” sold over $3 million copies worldwide and, as a result, was certified Platinum by the RIAA. N.W.A. continued to make music and release albums until their separation in the early 1990s.
The feud between Dr. Dre and Suge Knight on one side and Eazy-E on the other stemmed from Dre’s wishes to be released from the “Ruthless Records”, which only sparkled more disagreements between the two group members. Eventually with Knight’s help, Dre was released from his contract, yet the dispute continued and even resulted in back-and-forth song releases that were aimed at insulting the targeted opponent. Dre’s and Eazy’s feud signified the official end of the N.W.A group. Eazy-E continued his solo career with two albums “It’s On (Dr. Dre) 187 Killa” and released his last album “Str8 off tha Streetz of Muthaphukkin Compton” in 1995. That same year Eazy-E was placed in the Medical Center in Los Angeles with what he thought was asthma. Further medical research showed that Eazy was actually suffering from AIDS. A month after his diagnosis, Eazy-E died from complications from AIDS at the age of 31. His death brought out many rumors and some artists even speculated that his death seemed suspicious since he was in good health before he died. A well-known rap artist and a founder of N.W.A, Eazy-E has an estimated net worth of $8 million. Despite his death, Eazy-E continues to be an inspirational artist in the music industry with his legacy being passed on by his fellow gangsta rap artists. Often referred to as a “rap pioneer” and sometimes even called a “legend”, Eazy-E is truly a remarkable artist.

1
Records don't make anybody do nothing. You make yourself do that.
2
I would like to turn my own problem into something good that will reach out to all my homeboys, I want to save their asses before it's too late. I'm not looking to blame anyone except myself.
Fellow NWA rapper DJ Yella wrote a solo single called "One More Nigga To Go" in dedication to him, and to help raise money for college for his nine kids. Yella reportedly also was the only member of NWA to stay friends with him all the way from beginning to end.
9
Married the mother of his last two children one week before his death.
10
Was a member of the Kelly Park Compton Crips.
11
NWA was voted the 33rd Greatest Rock 'n' Roll Artists of all time by Rolling Stone.
12
Eazy E was the front Man of N.W.A, and although Ice Cube and DJ yella were primary writers, Eazy would assist in production and putting the ideas for songs together with MC Ren. All of the members in N.W.A contributed equally to the group, and played large roles in the groups success.
13
His most famous song "Boyz in the Hood" was never meant to be sung by him. It was intended for an east side group called HBO to sing.
14
Played drums and piano competently (though not expertly).
15
Has nine children by seven different women.
16
Has a day each year in his name in Compton, Eazy-E day, by order of the mayor.
